Friedrich Münch created its first chainmail glove with welded stainless-steel ring mesh in 1968 and launched it on the market in 1970. Since that time, the company has done a lot of pioneering work in the field of protective work clothing and, especially in the 1990s, was an active member of the European Standards Committee that was instrumental in developing the EN 1082 and EN 412 standards for protective gloves that apply to this day. Finally, in the mid-1990s, the patent for niroflex 2000, the best-selling ring mesh glove, was filed. Thanks to the takeover of its large English competitor Manabo in 2002 and the high level of commitment and loyalty of its employees, Friedrich Münch GmbH + Co KG with its niroflex and niro S brands has become a globally active company that offers highly innovative products and solutions with a guaranteed quality without rival.
