Beaucoup se demandent pourquoi la classification s&rsquo;arr\u00eate au niveau F et pourquoi deux mat\u00e9riaux pr\u00e9sentant des valeurs en Newton tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rentes obtiennent malgr\u00e9 tout la m\u00eame classification.<\/p>\n<p>La r\u00e9ponse se trouve dans la structure m\u00eame de la norme EN ISO 13997.<\/p>\n<h2>Que mesure la norme EN ISO 13997 ?<\/h2>\n<p>La norme <strong>EN ISO 13997<\/strong> d\u00e9crit une m\u00e9thode d&rsquo;essai permettant de mesurer la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la coupure des mat\u00e9riaux. Une lame droite est d\u00e9plac\u00e9e sur l&rsquo;\u00e9chantillon jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce qu&rsquo;elle traverse le mat\u00e9riau. Toute valeur \u00e9gale ou sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 cette limite est class\u00e9e <strong>niveau F<\/strong>. La norme ne pr\u00e9voit aucune cat\u00e9gorie suppl\u00e9mentaire au-del\u00e0 du niveau F.<\/p>\n<h2>Pourquoi les valeurs en Newton restent-elles importantes ?<\/h2>\n<p>Le niveau de performance indique la cat\u00e9gorie obtenue, tandis que la valeur en Newton montre la r\u00e9sistance r\u00e9ellement mesur\u00e9e lors de l&rsquo;essai.<\/p>\n<p>Par exemple :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>un mat\u00e9riau atteint <strong>31 N<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>un autre atteint <strong>42 N<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Les deux obtiennent le <strong>niveau F<\/strong>, bien que leur r\u00e9sistance mesur\u00e9e soit diff\u00e9rente.
